A simpler way to stay connected with your child’s school life
We are pleased to announce the launch of the Arbor Parent App at ATAM Academy
From September 2026, we are beginning an important transition from Class Charts to Arbor for our behaviour, rewards and wider school information. This forms part of our ongoing work to make it easier for parents and carers to access important information about their child in one place.
The move to Arbor does not mean a change to our behaviour expectations or our existing Values & Rewards system. Our established approach, including Value Points, C1, C2, C3, On Call, Behaviour Codes and detentions, will continue. The change is to the digital system we use to record, monitor and share this information.
What is Arbor?
Arbor is our school's Management Information System (MIS). It brings together important information about students and school life within one connected system.
For parents and carers, the Arbor Parent App provides a convenient way to access information about your child from your phone. Depending on the features we introduce at the Academy, this can include information such as attendance, behaviour, school communications and other important updates.
Arbor describes its Parent App as a way for parents to access key information about their children in one place, including attendance, behaviour and progress, while also receiving updates from school through notifications.
Why are we moving from Class Charts to Arbor?
Over time, schools can end up using a number of different systems for different aspects of school life. Moving more of our information into Arbor allows us to reduce this fragmentation and provide a more joined-up experience for students, staff and families.
Our aim is simple:
One system. One place for information. A simpler experience for families.
The move to Arbor will allow us to bring more of our school information together and give parents and carers easier access to relevant information about their child.
When will I get access?
We recognise that moving from one established system to another is a significant change.
For this reason, we will introduce Arbor gradually during the Autumn Term rather than expecting every family to move across immediately.
During the transition, some information may continue to be communicated through our existing systems while Arbor is being fully established.
When your Arbor account is ready, we will contact you with clear instructions explaining how to activate your account and access the Arbor Parent App or Portal.
