Atam Academy is a free school, which opened in September 2016 in the Barley Lane area of Ilford. The school is a Sikh faith school which welcomes pupils of all faiths and none. Our school opened with Reception and Year 1 classes in September 2016, and will add Year 2 pupils in September 2017, with a secondary school phase being added in September 2018. The school will eventually be an all-through school providing a high quality education for pupils from 3-18.
We are working to create a school which provides academic, personal, social and emotional development for all of our students, where inspiring teaching and enthusiastic learning, tolerance and mutual respect towards others is valued above all else.
We are now looking for Teaching and Learning Assistants to provide a dynamic range of support for pupils both inside and out of the classroom. This are an exciting roles working with teachers and other school staff to establish a supportive and nurturing learning environment in which the pupils can make excellent academic progress.
The successful candidates will:
- Have excellent interpersonal skills and be able to establish good relationships with adults and children
- Be able to enthuse and inspire children
- Be willing to contribute to a dynamic and hard-working team and to all aspects of school life
- Hold or be studying for Level 2 Teaching and Learning qualifications
